Annual Celebration set for Friday The UA Community Celebration will take place March 1, from 5 to 10 p.m. at St. Agatha Church, 1860 Northam Rd. The event theme this year is “Back to the Future.” The Community Showcase Business Expo will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Don’t miss the special and unique Silent Auction that will have people buzzing around the tables all night.

The Dinner and Celebration will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. and the cost is $50 per person. For more information,visit uachamber.org.

Older Adult Resource Group

Lunch and Learn event set for April 3 The Chamber’s Older Adult Resource Group is hosting a lunch and learn event for area seniors.

Wednesday, April 3 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Luncheon focused on video/social media Lou Varga of Varga Communications, a video and multimedia production house based in central Ohio, was the featured speaker at the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce “Ask the Expert” luncheon Thursday Feb. 14, at TechColumbus. Lou addressed the importance of knowing your “audience” before any production work begins.

“Your target audience, those you are trying to educate through video, will inform all of your production decisions,” Varga said.

Social media of all types, makes it even easier to reach that target audience said Vargas’s chief of technology and Editor Kenny McCoy. McCoy discussed how to best use digital pathways to not only present finished videos but also how to use the speed of the technology in the production and proofing phases of a project.
