OSU Marching Band Director to speak at January 17 luncheon Not only was there a buzz about the OSU football team this season, but The Ohio State University Marching Band had its share of social and television media! The YouTube hits to see the half-time performances of the band were in the 14 million range for just one of the shows! The Today Show came to the ‘Shoe to be with the band! Come and join us on Friday, Jan. 17 for our luncheon at Heritage Golf Club which will feature Jonathan Waters, Director of The Ohio State University Marching Band. Jon received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from The Ohio State University in 2000. He was a member of the OSU Marching Band from 19951999 and served as graduate assistant for the band for the 2000

and 2001 seasons. He has also earned two Master’s degrees,

in Music Education and Conducting, from The Ohio State University. Waters has written band shows for the Marching Band, Spring Athletic Band, and a number of high schools throughout the state. His other duties include teaching undergraduate conducting classes in the School of Music, as well as conducting various concert ensembles. Speed Networking Luncheon on Jan. 29

You have heard of Speed Dating — we want you to participate in Speed Networking! We have always had great feedback about this program and we want to kick off 2014 by having you talk about your business! All attendees will come with a 90 second commercial about themselves and handouts to give to the people at their tables. You will have the opportunity to interact to make those important connections for your referrals. It is a timed event so get your 90 second commercial fine-tuned so you can give the most information you can. This luncheon is not limited to just women and is open to the public! Max Muscle Sports Nutrition will be hosting a nutrition seminar on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 2495 Hilliard Rome Rd. in the Silverhorn Shopping Center. The presentation will last approximately one hour followed by an open discussion with Q&A. This is free and open to the public.
