Invermere community librarian Leah Shoemaker came in character as the wartime cultural icon Rosie the Riveter for the Bird’s Eye View book launch party on Friday, November 14th at Pynelogs. Beside her is a model airplane handcrafted by former DTSS science teacher Bill Thompson — one of his final creative pieces for the library before his passing earlier this month.
