Some tiptoed, some held hands and jumped, and still others cannonballed into the icy waters of Taynton Bay during the Recreational Adapted Society’s annual Polar Plunge last Saturday, Feb. 18. The event raised awareness about barriers to outdoor recreation for those with mobility challenges and raised funds for the often very expensive equipment allowing people facing mobility challenges to get outdoors.
