Garlic Festival Clear your schedule and pack your mints The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival is back!
Sat., Sept. 30 & Sun., October 1 Saturday, 10am- 6pm, & Sunday, 10am - 5pm
Taking place at Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex in Saugerties on Saturday, Sept. 30th, and Sunday, October 1st, the festival is brought to you by the Saugerties Kiwanis Club and sponsored by M&T Bank, Sawyer Savings Bank, and Sunshine Tees- it will feature a massive garlic-themed marketplace, live music, craft area, food vendors, chefs, lecturers, and a children’s area that includes a rock-climbing wall! This two-day celebration of the yearly garlic harvest was started in 1989 and has grown from a small event catering to a few hundred attendees to a veritable tradition that estimates tens of thousands of garlic-lovers in attendance. The event allows foodies to purchase a plethora of local garlic varieties, garlic-based food items, and other related goods and then invites them to learn new garlic recipes from celebrated chefs. Tickets are sold online, at local stores, or at the door ($10, cash only) and the festival is scheduled to go on rain or shine Sat., 10am- 6pm, & Sun., 10am - 5pm.
