Godfrey Gin pays a fleeting visit to Cape Town. Godfrey spent a few days in Cape Town meeting with old friends and his family. They will be travelling to East London to celebrate his motherin-law’s 90th birthday. Aunt Doreen Lee Son is the wife of the late Uncle Errol Lee Son & mother to Ashley Lee Son. Joy Clue, Eileen Hunt and Peggy Quat
Sybil Li-Hunt,Vivien Abplanalp and Joy Clue Joy (nee Lee) and Harvey Clue visited family and friends in Cape Town in June. Joy was a longtime chairlady of WP Chinese Sports Association. Harvey, when he married Joy was working as a diplomat at the American consulate.
Three vessels comprising the 16th Escort Task Group of the Chinese Navy arrived in Cape Town on Tuesday morning 17th June, the last leg of a visit to eight African countries. The 16th Escort Task Group (ETG) consists of the modern Type 054A missile frigate FFG-546 Yancheng, the Type 053H3 missile frigate FFG-527 Luoyang and the new Type 903 replenishment ship AOE-889 Taihu.
