Living in a YURT Can you LIVE in a yurt? Many of our customers live in their yurt either part time, temporarily or full time. Build a deck, pitch your yurt, install utilities (or live off the grid), arrange your space and live the yurt life!

Permitting:
Always check with your local authority to see if yurt living is allowed where you live. We can help with engineering data and other requirements
Utilities:
You can bring utilities into the yurt. In most cases, you will come through your platform with power and water.
Heating & Cooling:
You can heat & cool a yurt just like any other structure. A wood stove, in-floor radiant heat or a mini-split work well. For cooling, consider a window a/c, free-standing cooler or just fans and extra windows to catch a cross breeze. Our insulation package, dome lifter and bronze tinted dome are all upgrades that help to heat/cool your yurt more efficiently.
Interior Design:
Partition your yurt with simple free-standing walls or keep the open space of the interior. Build a loft for sleeping, relaxing or for storage. Finish floors with wood, tile, carpet or concrete. Your only limit is your imagination. We can help with lots of photos and some suggested floor plans.
