Torchlight Parades in Colorad Send Off 2019 With a Fiery Display

C

olorado ski resorts celebrate the holidays with more than pretty fairy lights and tinsel. Head to the snow-covered hills on Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve and send off 2019 ablaze. A tradition at many ski resorts, torchlight parades feature skiers and boarders racing down the hills with torches in their hands. From afar, the mountain seems to catch on fire from top to bottom, but there is no danger in these torchlight parades. The exciting event is usually wrapped up by a beautiful firework display. Here are some places you can observe a torchlight parade for free.

Winter Park Date: Dec. 24 Time: 5:30 PM The annual Christmas Eve Torchlight hosted at Winter Park is a big event that is always festive. Hundreds of flares glide down the mountain in a Christmas tree formation. Following the skiers are Santa Claus and his sled. Viewers can watch the spectacle, including a firework display, from around the bonfire at the base.

Telluride and Mountain Village

Dates: Dec. 24 & 31 Time: 6:30 PM Many skilled skiers and boarders will ride down the mountain with red torchlights in hand. The annual parade is a favorite Telluride tradition and enjoyed by many locals. On New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, the event is concluded with beautiful fireworks.

Copper Mountain

Date: Dec 31 Time: 6 PM Many gather at the Eagles Landing Center Village to celebrate the end of the year and welcome the beginning of next year with the torchlight parade at

Copper Mountain. A firework display follows closely behind the torches. Visitors can choose to dine with friends and family after filling their eyes with awe.

Monarch Mountain

Date: Dec. 31 Time: 3 PM For those that enjoy an earlier end to New Year’s Eve, join Monarch Mountain as it celebrates its 38th annual torchlight parade and fireworks show.

At the lodge, there will be food, drinks, and games for a kid-friendly night.

Throughout the day, you can sign up to participate in the torchlight parade at the Guest Services Desk.

Steamboat Resort

Date: Dec. 31 Time: 5:30 PM The ski route at Steamboat will be lit only by the torches that progress down the mountain. Dressed in holiday lights, Steamboat Snow Cats will lead the parade. There will also be an illuminating firework display to top off the wonderful night.

Snowmass Village

Date: Dec 31 Time: 6 PM The tradition continues at Snowmass Base Village with another torchlight parade. Guests 8 years and older are invited to join in lighting up the mountain and the night with red flares. At 10 PM,

view the fireworks display and bid a farewell to 2019.

A Multi Award-Winning Super Group is Back : EXO 6th Album “Obsession” and EXO’s Behind Stories

Finally, a multi-award-winning K-pop super group EXO is back with their truly awaited sixth full-length album, “Obsession”. It already sounds like another hit. It has already been 7 years since EXO arrived with 2012’s MAMA(EP).

And ever since then, this boy band has spent much of its time on the top of the South Korean music sceneries, with mega hits like 2013’s “Growl” and 2015’s “Love Me Right,” setting them up as a dominant actor throughout much of Asia. Release of Obsession is a gift for their fans and their songs are already dominating K-pop charts on numerous music-contents websites.

To briefly introduce their newest album, Obsession has a song for everyone, all easy to listen to – even compared to their last album “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo.” Fronted by a lead single also dubbed Obsession, the 10-track album is bookended by Korean and Chinese versions of the songs, which turns the group towards hiphop-inspired sampling and an intense Auto-tuning – one of the trademarks of their songs – blending their more typical R&B and electro-pop styling with

musical elements.

“Honestly, when we look into a song we think about what kind of a performance will work and whether a song will fit the kind of performance we want to put on,” Kai told Billboard. The idea behind the storylines that EXO uses to promote their music is to better get their music across to their fans – known collectively as EXO-L. “We are not just a group that sings and dances,” says Chanyeol. “For people watching us, of course they know the storylines are fake. But just like watching a movie, it is another way for people to fall for us deeply.”

Released by SM Entertainment last Nov 27th, this comeback is the first album to showcase EXO composed of only six members (Suho, Chen, Kai, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Sehun).

Serving their South Korea’s mandatory military conscription are D.O. and Xiumin. “We’ve already received so much love for our units and solo projects, but at the end of the day the most important thing is the team and our group’s performances,” says Baekhyun. “The fact that we are able to show all these different aspects of us also allows us to show different sides of EXO as a group and reveal how diverse we can be, and

how each of us have our own talents and skills.”

Obsession might be the last group album we get from the band for a few years – and making sure to do so with a major reminder of their strong chart legacy. According to Forbes, this 6th album is EXO’s fourth project to reach the Billboard 200 for at least one frame, and that is now one of the most impressive accumulations of appearances among K-pop artists or groups. In fact, including solo acts and bands, EXO is now in second place when it comes to the most charting albums on the Billboard 200. In addition to this, impressively, Obsession is one of three albums from K-pop groups currently charting on the Billboard 200, which is a very rare sight. Among EXO’s 10 top-selling songs in America, their best-seller is their 2016 single “Monster” – which was also their first song to hit No. 1 on World Digital Songs – with 69,000 copies sold in America to date, according to Nielsen Music. he real estate community is buzzing about the new optional RV garages. So, I decided to go see it myself. Richmond American Homes are building these new concepts in their new homes at Castlerock. The exact location is 6289 Leilani Drive, Castle Rock, CO 80108. Without any traffic, it will take around 30 minutes from the DTC area. The short drive was fun and scenic. The area is surrounded by beautiful nature and even some wildlife. It is situated about 10 minutes from the Castle Rock Outlet Mall and 10 minutes from Parker.

The Landing at Cobblestone Ranch has 7 different home plans. All of these are Ranch style homes (one-story homes). Of these, 3 plans have attached RV/oversized garages: Hampton, Prescott, and Harris.

The Hampton plan is a 3 bed/2 bath ranch with approximately 2,156 square ft. The base price of this home is $526,950. Of course, with options, you are probably looking at $600,000 to

$700,000 in the final home price.

The Prescott plan is a 3 bed/2.5 bath ranch with approximately 2,520 square ft. The base price of this home is $557,950. Thus, the final price should be around $630,000 to $730,000 depending on the added options.

The Harris plan is a 3 bed/2 bath ranch approximately 2,452 square ft. The base price is $551,950. Thus, it should also come in around $630,000 to $730,000.

Of course, there are some homes with exquisite options that have come in

around $850,000 according to the onsite salesperson.

If you enjoy the outdoors and own an RV or a large boat, then these new homes could be a great option for you.

When you factor in the cost of renting an RV storage unit, it is financially sound to invest in these homes.

According to the onsite salesperson, they have sold around 50 lots in the past 12 months. The site has about 150 lots.

Ward IV’s Importance to Koreans in Colorado An Interview with Juan Marcano: Ward IV Council Member.

What Does He Envision for Ward IV

Juan Marcano hopes to invest in local businesses, including Ward IV's diverse grocery stores & businesses, increase the utility of land spaces, grow local economy, and fix infrastructure. I hope he succeeds in fixing some traffic signals into adaptive signals. Aurora's traffic has been worsening as of late!

Will There Be a Korea Town

One question all Korean Americans are curious about is the question of a Korea town.

Juan believes that it is possible to set up a Korea town in Ward IV. However, he stresses the importance of the local businesses communicating together to agree upon a Korea town.

The idea of a Korea town is exciting for Koreans and those interested in Korea alike. We hope to see the cooperation of many Korean stores, cafes, and restaurants to make our own K-Town in Aurora.

What is Ward IV

The Aurora City Council has one mayor and ten council members, six of which represent one of six wards. Ward IV is of special importance to the Korean American community.

Stretching from S Parker Rd to S Buckley Rd, Ward IV encompasses many Korean stores, cafes, and restaurants. This large number of Korean businesses led to a K-Town proposal at S Havana St and S Parker Rd in 2018. The council discusses and votes on many changes within this ward, including traffic signals, building limits, and even the internet.

Works Committee. He will be vice chairing the Management and Finance committee and serving as a member on many other committees.

On a more personal level, Juan has shared

his love for StarCraft II and interest in Korea, especially Aurora's sister city - Seongnam. He believes that Aurora's diversity defines our city and hopes to work toward a downtown Aurora.
