TABLE OF CONTENTS
Colorado Softball Academy was founded in the fall of 2021with the goals of providing a high-quality and constructive place for female-athletes to compete, learn and grow through the game. Founded by Colorado Native, and former catcher for the University of Florida, Ashlie Rowley, we believe softball is a platform to teach athletes life skills that will help shape their future success on and off the field. Our goal is to teach and train the WHOLE athlete - Skills. Character. Leadership. All CSA Coaching Staffs include at least one former former softball, majority of which played at the Division I level. All CSA coaches are thoroughly vetted, background checked and participate in the CSA Coaching Development Program. While we try to limit the amount of parent coaches, we do allow great coaches/parents who are an asset to our program.
CSA is a full-circle softball academy for female-athletes of all ages with a focus on:
Opportunities – For female-athletes to learn and play this great game, while receiving high quality training and resources from coaches who have played at some of the highest levels in softball. This includes the 5-year-old athlete who is learning to throw a ball for the first time, our 18 Gold competitive athletes preparing to play college softball, current college softball players who train during the off season.
Training – The core CSA Leadership and Coaching Staff is made up of former college softball players and professional coaches. Our goal is to create a training environment that replicates that of a college softball training experience – sports performance, mental performance, skills development, and on-field education. Our Coaches work to teach and push athletes past their comfort levels, and work to achieve their goals.
A Home – CSA is a home for athletes to train and ‘grow up through the game’. Our goal is to create a pipeline of player development training and mentorship support for athletes ages 5 through college age.
A Network – The CSA Leadership Team is made up of former college softball players and coaches who have established a strong network and friendships with club and college coaches throughout the Nation. We pride ourselves in our past experiences and our continued education, as we work to provide our athletes with the best possible experiences and opportunities. Through our network of college and travel ball contacts, we are able to assist athletes in the best possible way throughout their recruiting journey.

COLORADO SOFTBALL ACADEMY FOUNDATION
“It is not about us, it is about cultivating the game that gave so much to us. It’s about guaranteeing that kids everywhere can learn, grow, bond and have fun” with every ball thrown, every diving catch, and every game won.
{Peyton Manning, HOF}
Colorado Softball Academy Foundation, Inc. is a Colorado 501(c)(3) charitable organization on a mission to provide equitable opportunities for girls in sports and support equitable training opportunities for the WHOLE athlete – Physically, Mentally and Emotionally.
CSAF is anchored in the concept that girls of all ages, ethnicities, backgrounds and socioeconomic status, should have equitable and high quality playing and training opportunities. Our goal is to support quality program opportunities for girls in softball that provide them with a foundation to learn and grow as strong and confident leaders in society. Whether it’s opportunities playing at the youth grassroots level, opportunities to play in college, opportunities to afford your summer team player fees, or an opportunity to be part of a positive and constructive community of female-athletes – our girls deserve an opportunity!
MISSION:
Provide opportunities for female-athletes through:
• The creation of and support for instructional youth softball leagues and teams.
• Scholarship programs that remove financial barriers inhibiting an athletes player development and participation opportunities.
• Leadership development programs that enable female-athletes to learn life and confidence building skills.
Provide mental health support resources for female-athletes, including:
• Free mental health counseling/ resources in partnership with local health professionals.
This past year, through fundraising efforts and the generosity of our community, we were able to provide more that $30,000 in scholarships to CSA athletes! These scholarships help CSA families offset the costs of player fees, travel costs, training fees or any other softball related expense. Additionally, we were able to cover the cost of over $15,000 in counseling services for female athletes.
The CSA Foundation provides fundraising opportunities throughout the year to help our families offset the costs of playing travel ball. For the upcoming ‘23/’24 season, we will assemble a Fundraising Committee made up of at least one parent from each CSA Team. This Committee will work with the CSA Board of Directors to create and execute fundraising opportunities for our families.
Planned Fundraisers for the ‘23/’24 Season:
Fall Girls with Game Golf Tournament
Winter Corn Hole League
Athletes Go Live Business Sponsorships (logo displayed on steamed games)
Bronco, CSU and Budweiser Events Center Concessions
Egg My Yard Easter Fundraiser
Additional ideas from the Fundraising Committee

This team will play a fall IPGSA schedule with a possible Halloween Tournament, additional league games may include a few 10U NOCO Futures Fastpitch games. This team will take November and December off and reconvene in January to prepare for the spring/ summer season. The spring/summer season will consist of an IPGSA league (mid-week) schedule, as well as approximately 5 tournaments. While this is an introduction to competitive play, there are times this team will be scheduled by IPGSA to compete against competitive level teams. LP truly loves the game of softball almost more than life itself. She started playing at a young age and always had dreams of playing Division 1. She achieved that dream when she was offered a scholarship at the University of Norther Colorado. LP played 4 years at UNC as a pitcher. While in college, LP began coaching and fell in love with a whole new side of the game. She invests deeply into each of her athletes, both as athletes and as young women.
