YOu’ll love what Early autism intervention can do. Did you know children can start ABA therapy for autism and other developmental delays as early as 18 months old? Research shows the sooner you seek intervention after a diagnosis the better. It can make all the difference in areas of communication and speech, success in school, social skills, and even IQ. In addition to starting early, intensive services are key, meaning at least 25 hours a week, 12 months a year to ensure children continue to develop and progress. With early intervention, a brighter future awaits! Learn if the Behavior Exchange Early Start (B.E.E.S.) program or One-on-One Therapy is best for your child.

Good to Know HELPFUL NEWS, IDEAS, AND TIPS FOR COLORADO PARENTS
A Spotlight Experience for Young Drag Performers “It’s not just about the kid, it’s about the whole family,” Johnson says. “As a parent, watching your child blossom is always a tremendous moment. There are few things a child will remember when they are grown, but we all cherish times when our parents love us unconditionally.” This year’s performance/celebration will be held at the Seawell Ballroom in the Denver Performing Arts Complex on October 24. Find tickets for the main event or sign up your young person (up to age 17) at dragutante.org. “My mom and I like to talk about how we have a small blood family, but our chosen family is all of Denver's drag scene,” says Jameson, whose drag persona is Ophelia Peaches. “It really is wholesome. That's really the word I can use.” — Anna Sutterer

Three years ago, Robin Johnson’s son Jameson asked for a drag-themed 13th birthday party. Johnson, of Denver, made it happen. Jameson dressed in a secondhand prom dress and rhinestone tiara as he partied with the queens at Denver’s Hamburger Mary’s. Johnson remembers the car ride home, when Jameson said: “Mama, I feel more me than ever right now.” “My heart barely fit in my chest,” Johnson says. Then, she thought: How do I give my child what they need to thrive and keep them safe? The answer: “Better find you a village.” Johnson decided to create an LGBTQ+ affirming drag group for Denver area kids. The result was Dragutante—a stage experience for aspiring young drag performers.

The garden-to-table program is one way Clayton Early Learning (CEL), in Denver, encourages its students to have deep connections with healthy foods. It’s also one of the school’s strategies to address food insecurity, which affects many of the school’s families, especially this past year. When at full capacity, the Clayton kitchen prepares 1,000 fresh meals a day, from scratch, including its own organic baby food. Try this Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oats recipe from CEL’s book, Clayton Cooks (exclusive to member families).

The Latino Cultural Arts Center Launches a Youth Mambo Orchestra Latin music has a deep history here in Denver. Eric Trujillo, a longtime local Latin jazz musician, is determined to help youth learn its roots and carry the legacy with pride. He teamed up with the Latino Cultural Arts Center (LCAC) to create the Mambo Orchestra. Now in its pilot phase, the group includes middle and high school students who, for eight weeks, study classic and contemporary Latin, mambo, and salsa-based music. Trujillo leads the way with instruction, and relies on the help of experienced mentors to give each student one-on-one support. “You find Afro, Arabic, Asian, and a little bit of everything in mambo,” Alfredo Reyes, executive
director of the LCAC, says. “I am very excited to contribute to that environment, where young people and families can learn mambo as a community and liven up Denver in a really powerful way.” The Mambo Orchestra plans to perform on October 1, as part of the Santa Fe First Friday Art Walk, at 800 Kalamath Street in Denver, a music education building run in partnership with the LCAC, Metropolitan State University of Denver, the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts, and Nueva Escuela de Musica. We’ve Been Busted!
Kids are officially on alert that we are swiping their treats. In Sneaky Snacks, the first children’s book from Denver radio personality Jeremy Padgett, a child comes home to find Mom and Dad red…er… chocolate-handed. While the kid is offered healthy veggie treats instead, she knows the good stuff is hidden somewhere in the house. So, the hunt begins. “The story was inspired by my personal life, and how my wife and I always sneak our kids’ holiday candy and eat it before they do,” says Padgett, a host of Mix100’s Dom & Jeremy Morning Show. “The peanut butter cups are always the first to be stolen.” Padgett used the pandemic as a time to wrap up the project, finding University of Colorado graduate Penny Serrano to illustrate the story. jeremypadgett.com/sneaky-snacks

Rocky Mountaineer: Denver to Moab
Bond as a family while experiencing unbeatable scenery and first-class accommodations. By Courtney Holden VIBE: Unhurried, luxury travel that’s all about the journey TRAVEL TIME: Two days each way TIP: Though your time aboard the Rocky Mountaineer is filled with stunning views and impromptu educational moments, five to eight hour days in a train car can be long for younger kids. Bring middle to high-schoolers, and if you opt to bring younger ones, be prepared with some just-in-case diversions like binoculars and coloring books.
The Rocky Mountaineer train gives families a chance to see road trip scenery without the cramped family car.
Over the course of its 30 years, the Rocky Mountaineer train line’s spacious, glass-dome coaches and exceptional cuisine (coriander-crusted salmon, anyone?) have solidified its reputation in luxury tourism. Their new Rockies to Red Rocks route, which covers 370 miles from Denver to Moab, is no different. Families who begin in Denver (the route can be traveled in either direction) will enjoy breakfast and lunch as the train steams through the Continental Divide via Moffat Tunnel and chugs along the Colorado River before a night’s stop in Glenwood Springs. Guests disembark for the evening around 5 p.m.—so there’s plenty of time for a dip in the local hot springs—and stay at a prearranged hotel not far from the depot. The next morning, breakfast is served while the iron horse rumbles past haunting hoodoos and red-hued rocks as it makes its way to the terminus in Moab. EYES (NOT) ON THE ROAD Many family road trips require Mom or Dad to log long hours behind the wheel. With train travel, it’s relaxing all around: no maps, no bathroom stops, and no arguing over what fast food you’ll regret eating later. “Everything is taken care of,” says Tessa Day, communications manager for Rocky Mountaineer. EDUCATION, INCOGNITO Vacations that slip in experiential education opportunities are a parent’s dream. Throughout this trip, well-trained hosts and hostesses describe historical events and engineering feats that took place outside the oversized glass windows. They’ll also point out plant and animal life (bighorn sheep, regularly, and bears, if you’re lucky). Since the train is WiFi-free, there’s less opportunity for digital distractions, Day says. “It’s a chance to unplug and engage with the group you’re traveling with.” rockymountaineer.com

The Field
by Baptiste Paul; illustrated by Jacqueline Alcántara (NorthSouth Books, 2018)
Celebrate the joys of soccer through the simplicity of an outdoor game played on a Caribbean island. Through simple text, the author interspersed Creole words spoken in his birthplace of St. Lucia, showing the sport’s international appeal.
Available in English and Spanish, this book tells the true story of professional Spanish tennis player, Rafael “Rafa” Nadal, who shares the message that what really matters in sports is being happy along the way, and not waiting until you reach the finish line. Proceeds benefit the What Really Matters Foundation, which promotes universal human values to young people through conferences around the world.

Football With Dad
by Frank J. Berrios; illustrated by Brian Biggs (Little Golden Book, 2015)
From this classic children’s book series comes a modern story about a father and son’s love of football. Kids will be introduced to basic football terms and be inspired to bond with Dad by watching the big game on TV, trying their own football moves, or starting a neighborhood pick-up game.
Fauja Singh was born in Punjab, British India in 1911 with weak legs that didn’t work like the other kids’ legs. But he was determined. At the age of 81, after a lifetime of making his body, mind, and heart stronger, Fauja ran his first marathon. He broke records all around the world and became the first person over 100 years old to complete a marathon.

How Can We Nurture More Diverse Friendships? Three experts weigh in on how to encourage and enable kids to broaden their circle of friends while appreciating the differences between them. Edited by Courtney Drake-McDonough
“We put our kids in public school for more economic diversity, and we’ve lived and traveled in places where we are different or the minority. We visit places of worship for other faiths, watch movies with subtitles, and try to be open to organic connections with people of different ages, backgrounds, accents, etc. We also encourage the kids to cook foods from different ethnicities and visit restaurants that aren’t in upscale neighborhoods to appreciate diverse foods that local dives offer. We believe these things build their empathy and foster connections to new people.“
THE FRIENDSHIP COACH SAYS… “Having friendships with a range of people during formative years means children grow up being completely comfortable around all kinds of children, not just those exactly like themselves. This will help them at school and in work because they’ll be relaxed around every type of individual. The issue isn’t encouraging diverse friendships at a certain age, but just making opportunities available. Frequent places that are known to have more diverse populations. Read books, watch movies, or TV series where a range of individuals are depicted and that reflect a range of cultures. Avoid stereotyping! Have an open mind and encourage your infant, toddler, child, or teen to get to know someone for their personality, values, and positive traits that are individual and not because anyone, including your child, is a particular ethnicity, race, gender, socioeconomic class, or ability.“
“It’s never too early, or too late, to introduce children to one another. Appreciating and accepting children as unique individuals helps facilitate their development into healthy adults. When you begin your search for a school, ask the director about the diversity in the center and if the school is intentional about creating experiences that offer a sense of community and togetherness. It’s OK to ask, “Is your student body a reflection of our community?” Then, get involved by going to events hosted by the school, or community events too, to broaden your child’s circle of friends. Read to your children about diversity and talk openly about the beauty of a diverse community and world. ”

This list is pulled from the 2021 topDentists database, which is created using peer evaluations and includes listings for more than 900 dentists and specialists in Colorado. To create its list, topDentists asked dentists and specialists a personal question: “If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which dentist would you refer him or her to?” The nomination pool comprised all active dentists listed online with the American Dental Association as well as with dental academies and societies. (Dentists could also nominate others who may not be on those lists.) Respondents were asked to consider experience, continuing education, manner with patients, use of new techniques and technologies, and physical results. After the responses were compiled, dentists were checked against state dental boards for disciplinary actions to make sure they have active licenses and are in good standing. We realize there are many fine dentists who are not on this list; a dentist’s inclusion is based on the subjective judgments of fellow dentists. For more information, visit usatopdentists.com.

Q: A:
What sets you apart or makes you top in your field?
Dr. Rebecca and her team emphasize the importance of establishing long-term relationships with patients and contributing to the local community through public service. She has specialized training in cutting-edge laser technology which allows her to remove “cavity causing sugar bugs” without the use of needles or shots.
Q: A:
How did you get your start? What is your “story”?
During dental school, Dr. Rebecca regularly volunteered in special needs clinics and led dental missions to Uganda. These experiences motivated her to pursue specialty training in pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University-Rainbow Babies Children’s Hospital. After graduating in 2012, Dr. Rebecca became board certified and has been practicing in Colorado ever since.

Q: A:
How long have you been practicing?
I have been in the dental field for over 20 years. My first introduction was as a dental assistant for the Northwestern Dental School faculty practice. After attending University of Illinois School of Dentistry and completing my training at the University of Colorado, I had the great honor of becoming the director of the CU residency program. As a result, I have been a life-long learner and educator.
Q: A:
What are your goals?
Recently, I have devoted my time to organized dentistry where I am the Chair of the Colorado Dental Association Foundation Board (the charitable arm of the CDA) and a Secretary and a Board Member for the Metro Denver Dental Society. As a full time single parent of a little girl, I want to inspire other girls and women to follow their dreams and advocate for gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.

I have been in private practice in Denver for 25 years focusing my practice on wisdom teeth removal, extractions, implants, evaluating lesions and expose and bond procedures. My patients know that they will receive the best care possible and be treated as family. As a parent of 4, I know how vital it is to see that your children are in the best hands when it comes to medical/dental care. I treat every child that comes into my office as if they were my own. I take the time to explain in detail before and during procedures what I am doing, how and why. I offer in-office Nitrous and IV Sedation and take pride in starting all the IV’s myself, and not lending that task to my assistants, though they are qualified. I make sure the process is comfortable every step of the way, starting with administering local anesthetic slowly and gently, all the way to customized post op care. I want the full experience to be easy and positive for every patient, but especially for the kiddos!

COLORADO CHERRY CO. Have an applesauce lover? Their taste buds will go crazy for the Colorado Cherry Co. Apple Butter with Honey, which has a consistency just like the beloved kids’ snack. With notes of apple cider, allspice, and nutmeg, the perfectly sweetened spread can be enjoyed on bagels, sandwiches, or in yogurt. coloradocherrycompany.com
PEAR BLOSSOM FARMS The sweetest of the three, the Plum Butter from Pear Blossom Farms has a thin, jelly-like consistency. The vibrant purple hue will pique any picky eater’s interest, and the explosion of sweetness upon the first taste will seal the deal. The tangy flavors of plum are forthright, but a mix of spices offer a balanced experience. Try the spread on homemade biscuits or sourdough toast. pearblossomfarms.com
ELA FAMILY FARMS With more than 55 varieties of fruit trees grown on Ela Family Farms, the property produces some of the freshest fruit butters around. Our favorite was the Pear Butter, which only contains one ingredient: organic pears. The pears used are harvested at optimal ripeness before being sliced and slowly simmered. The result? A deliciously succulent topping to use on pancakes, toast, or flatbreads. elafamilyfarms.com

8 WAYS TO USE FRUIT BUTTER
Locally made fruit butters to indulge in this season.

A
pple, pumpkin, pear, cinnamon—the flavors of fall are part of what makes the season so special. Pumpkin spice desserts are plentiful at bakeries, but if you’re looking for something sweet to enjoy at home, consider fruit butter. We’re fortunate that Colorado is home to a mix of local farms that offer fresh produce, tasty jams and jellies, and
you guessed it, fruit butters. These delightfully sweet spreads can be used in a variety of recipes, which offers an opportunity to get creative in the kitchen. Have your kids come up with fun, tasty ways to use the topping, then take a vote on whose concoction turned out best. We tested a handful of fruit butters that are made right here in Colorado. Here’s what we loved the most.
· Slather it over toast or bagels · Top shortbread or sugar cookies · Use it in bread, muffin, or biscuit recipes · Stir it into oatmeal, yogurt, or soup · Enjoy with cheese and crackers · Add it as a topping to waffles, pie, pizza, burgers, or sandwiches · Sweeten up pork, ham, or chicken by using it as a glaze · Add it as a spread option on a charcuterie board

Foxy Fall Leaves
Autumn creates the perfect excuse to go outside and find little bits of nature to craft with. This project combines beautifully colored leaves and black and white markers. Simply take your kids exploring, collect some foliage, and draw a variety of delightful fox faces. By Sofie Collin
YOU WILL NEED: · Maple leaves · Flower press (heavy books will also work) · Permanent, fine-tip black markers · White chalk marker, (used for blackboard)
DIRECTIONS: Before coloring, press the leaves in a flower press or between heavy books. Make sure all the leaves you’re using are completely dry. To avoid any tears, help your child hold their leaf down with your fingers, or tape the leaf to your surface, and then encourage them to color gently.

Family: Annette Hertz.
Elizabeth Walden* of Northern Colorado is single and doesn’t have family nearby. She had to give up her career and travels to care for her 12- and 14-year-old grandsons, who’ve been with her now for 12 years; it was the difficult and right thing to do, she says. For a while things were okay; the boys were in sports and doing well in school, and the family took advantage of Colorado’s various activities. Then the pandemic’s isolation triggered her kids’ post traumatic stress disorder and compounded the negative effects of their ADHD, leaving them anxious and depressed. Walden’s search for mental health support came up short. The Grand Family Coalition is a wealth of information, according to Walden, but she’s still disappointed with the lack of visibility grandparents in her situation have, and the few sources of specific funding (for example scholarships for kid’s extracurricular activities) coming their way. “[We could use] just something to say, somebody Annette Hertz and out there really cares—send some DoorDash or her family with their take the kids for an hour,” Walden says. “Just to rescue dogs. acknowledge that I'm doing this difficult job.” At 50 years old, Hertz is on the younger end of her grandparenting support groups. By Anna Sutterer
Need a break from chef duties and a win with the kids? The unifying dish many families turn to is pizza. At its most basic form, the bread, sauce, and cheese checks all the boxes for a less, say, refined or adventurous palate. But what are the places that level up the experience for the whole family? Colorado Parent did some carb loading in pursuit of quality taste, menu selection, and atmosphere. Read on to find your next go-to spot.

Pizza: Crush Pizza + Tap.
Crush Pizza + Tap’s Lemon Ricotta on Sicilian crust.
Most Unique Flavors:
The Lemon Ricotta pizza is a permanent feature, and just one of the many specialties, on Crush Pizza + Tap’s extensive menu. Go with the award-winning Sicilian crust on this one—you won’t regret it once you bite into the thick rectangle of buttery, crunchy bread. The rest is a smooth and lightly sweet blend of mellow cheese, fresh basil, garlic, and lemon zest. Other tempting picks include a pie piled “Mile High” with meats and Hot Mess featuring sopressata with pickled peppers, goat cheese, and honey. Highland, Denver. crushpizzatap.com HONORABLE MENTION: Blue Pan Pizza’s 44 toppings (regular, specialty, and premium) are available for customers to concoct their own pizza masterpiece; they’re also employed to make delicious combinations like the 3-1-3 (ricotta, salami, and sweet piquante peppers). Order on their special caramelized Detroit style crust, or a Chicago cracker or New York thin crust. West Highland and Congress Park, Denver. bluepandenver.com
Best for Crust-lovers:
Blue Pan's 3-1-3 pizza on the Detroit style crust.
Green pizza: Heather Gaumer. Pizza with honey: Beau Jo's. Background: Flavio Coelho/Getty images.
The twisted “mountain pie” crust at Beau Jo’s towers over the rest. Once you’re finished noshing on the lower portion of a slice, there’s still a hefty log of dough left. The best way to enjoy this bonus bready treat? A drizzle of honey from the bottle on the table. Order the mountain pie crust in Honey White or Agave Wheat; other crust styles include a medium “prairie pie.” Gluten-free and cauliflower crusts are available in 10-inch prairie pie style. Follow Beau Jo’s on social media for occasional family deals. Idaho Springs, Evergreen, Arvada, Longmont, Fort Collins, and Steamboat Springs. beaujos.com HONORABLE MENTION: The crust at Walter's 303 is buttery, has medium fluff, and a slight crisp, all of which make the final bits of bread just as satisfying as the whole slice. Uptown, Bow Mar, Lowry, Colorado Springs. walters303.com
PERFECT PAIR SALADS These fresh tosses will help you get some green into the meal, and love doing it. Hops&Pie’s Roasted Pear: mixed greens, toasted pine nuts, roasted pears, red onion, goat cheese, raspberry vinaigrette Piccolo’s South Western Cobb: mixed greens, grilled chicken, black beans, black olives, roasted corn, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, hard boiled eggs, cheddar jack cheese, chili-lime dressing Brooklyn’s Finest’s Spinach Salad: spinach, craisins, candied walnuts, red onions, feta cheese, Italian dressing
Beau Jo's mountain pie crust allows for more toppings and is great drizzled with honey.

Mici Handcrafted Italian.
Kids get to pull on Mici's pizza dough while waiting for their meal.
Pizza for a Cause Pay for your pie knowing the dollars you spend support a good cause. These restaurants build community care into their models. Sexy Pizza: Order from a selection of “philanthro-pies” and Sexy Pizza will donate a portion of the proceeds to community partners including Project VOYCE, a youthdriven leadership and advocacy training program, and the Harm Reduction Action Center, for reducing the harms associated with drug use. The Denver-based joint also takes care of its employees with health and dental coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan match, and paid time off. Mici Handcrafted Italian: Each year, Mici donates more than $70,000 of value to local schools and children’s organizations through dining for dollars fundraisers, in-kind donations and sponsorships, and catering discounts for large orders including fundraisers and school lunches. Crush Pizza + Tap: Denver is expensive, so Crush found a way for the community to support their kitchen staff. A three percent “living wage” addition to each bill goes directly to workers to equalize employee wages and ease the stress of the ever-rising cost of living in the city.
44
Colorado Parent | September 2021
Best Interactivity:
The Mici Handcrafted Italian M.O. is to keep families—especially kids—entertained through their dining experience. From entrance to exit, there are interactive features, including a window into the kitchen and a shiny gelato display. Dough balls are delivered to the table so kids can stretch and form an edible creation while they wait for their meals. By the end of dinner, the staff will have baked the dough art and served it up warm. If the plan is pizza at home, Mici has the little ones covered with their pizza kits for takeout and delivery. These include raw ingredients for a 10-inch cheese pie, instructions for baking, and an activity sheet. Congress Park and Central Park, Denver; Parker, Highlands Ranch, Lafayette, Colorado Springs. miciitalian.com HONORABLE MENTION: Order a “Make Your Own Pizza” from Blue Pan’s Kid’s Menu. Staff delivers dough on a mini pizza peel plus sauce, cheese, and one topping ($8). West Highland and Congress Park, Denver. bluepandenver.com
Best Allergy/Special-Diet Friendly:
Ask for the “secret” menu at Marco’s Coal-Fired Pizza to find a handful of vegan choices. The melted cheese is just fine but the main show is the toppings. The Rocket features a variety of veggies and a healthy drizzle of sweet and sticky balsamic vinegar. Don’t skip on the extra sprinkle of crumbly vegan Parmesan cheese, which provides a
bit more flavor and welcome texture. Gluten-free crust is available to all who need or desire the option. Denver and Englewood. marcoscfp.com HONORABLE MENTION: Esters offers gluten-free bread from Canyon Bakehouse in Johnstown and pizza crusts from Sweet Escape Bakery in Longmont, plus various gluten-free and vegan menu items. Swap the cheese on any pizza with Peaceful Rebel vegan mozzarella (also from Denver). Park Hill and Virginia Village, Denver. estersdenver.com
Best Family Dine-in Experience:
Enter Deli Italia through a one-aisle market and ponder what grocery souvenir you or the kids might want to go home with: A package of lady fingers? Imported cookies from Italy? House made alfredo sauce? The dining menu brings all the market’s ingredients to life with a dozen sub sandwiches and hand tossed pizzas each (don’t sleep on the flavorful salads, either). Each pie’s delicate crust is slightly puffed and lightly crunchy and buttery; the cornmeal underneath adds some texture and a little flavor. Though the menu changes periodically, if you get the chance, try the Specktacular—a fresh tasting pizza with smoky cured ham, garlic, three types of cheeses, and spinach. Any of the extra toppings—premium meats and cheeses you’d expect from a nice deli—are worth a taste; they’re pricey but unique. The restaurant has a full bar and a casual atmosphere; it can serve as a relaxed date night spot, but doesn’t give off a “just adults” vibe. Lakewood. deliitaliapizzeria.com
HONORABLE MENTION: Homegrown Tap & Dough’s vibe is a step above fast-casual. Ski lift seats and a full service bar give it a special gloss. The wood-fired pizza has a fairly thin crust with medium crunch, plus fresh and locally sourced ingredients, and the whole menu, including the Kids Korner, has several other options in case someone’s had enough pizza. Arvada and Washington Park, Denver. tapanddough.com
Best Dessert Pizza:
Technically, this one’s a calzone. But ample filling and a fluffy bread vessel make Frontroom Pizza’s dessert calzones a winner. Choose from three options: hot fudge (very rich!), apple pie (how’d they get so many slices in there?), and seasonal—this summer’s flavor was cherry pie. All are about the size of two iPhone 12 Pros stacked, and come with a scoop of refreshing vanilla ice cream. After a few pizza slices and a trip to the salad bar, you’re going to want to split these sweet treats with your favorite family member. Lakewood. frontroompizza.com HONORABLE MENTION: Marco’s CoalFired Pizza serves up a decadent Nutella pie. The crust is ultra thin and encases the gooey good stuff. Eight small slices are plenty to share between two or three people (unless you’re ready for a toothache), and the kids will love the dusting of powdered sugar on top. Englewood and Five Points, Denver. marcoscfp.com
Frontroom Pizza stuffs its apple pie calzone with fresh slices and tops it with caramel.
Kaos: Heather Gaumer. Dessert: Frontroom Pizza.
Best Date Night:
Kids Eat Free Nights
On the quaint South Pearl Street, Kaos Pizzeria serves up crave-worthy wood-fired pizzas with a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy a romantic night in the lush garden patio. The extensive wine and beer list is sure to please parents on a kid-free outing. Kaos’ pizza crust is made with imported Italian flour, baked to a mix of a crisp and chewy base for toppings, which range from the expected—pepperoni, green pepper, pineapple—to the elevated—goat cheese, pulled pork, arugula. All are Colorado-sourced whenever possible to support the garden-to-plate foundation of the menu. Gluten free crust and dairy free cheese cater to special diets. Keep in mind that there are no reservations on Fridays and Saturdays; plan accordingly. Platt Park, Denver. kaospizzeria.com HONORABLE MENTION: Cart-Driver’s date night package at the Highland location takes the guesswork out of the evening. For $65, it comes with a farm greens salad, bread and butter, a simple Daisy pizza (like a margherita pizza, with upgrades available), a bottle of wine, and chocolate cremeaux. Highland and Five Points, Denver. cart-driver.com
Pizza night isn’t reserved for Fridays; not when there’s free deals like these during the week. Mici Handcrafted Italian: Mondays after 4pm with an adult purchase. Dine-in only. Esters: Monday nights at Oneida Park; Tuesday nights at Neighborhood Pub on South Holly. Frontroom Pizza: Tuesdays 5 p.m. to close, with a large pizza or adult entree purchase.
This Victorian house and garden patio is home to Kaos Pizzeria's delicious and elegant fare.
Oblio’s Pizzeria: Sunday nights, order a 12-inch, two-plus topping pizza and get one free kids’ pizza, or get two free kids’ pizzas with a 16-inch, two-plus topping pizza.
