in the face, and one suspect pointed a gun at him. He said there were three men, and one woman with pink hair, who left in a silver Chevrolet Malibu. The suspect who aimed the gun at the victim left on a motorcycle. Officers responded to the call and found the motorcycle in the 12100 block of Huron Street. Tucker, who was driving the motorcycle, attempted to drive away from police but crashed. He then fled on foot, and when police attempted to take him into custody, police said he displayed a weapon. Two Westminster police officers fired their guns at Tucker, who was killed by the shots, police said. Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated by the 17th Judicial Critical Incident Team. Authorities are still looking for the suspects who were driving the silver Chevrolet Malibu.

Design Workshop, a Denver-based urban design and planning firm, has been selected to craft the new Regional Park and Fairgrounds master plan, which will include opportunities for residents to share what they would like to see. “We will put out public notice to have people come and comment on the plan,” Regional Park Manager Kurt Carlson told Adams County Commissioners at a Sept. 20 public hearing. “We’ve got a lot of historical users we will bring into the process, to make sure the changes will work for their needs.” Although meeting dates have been yet been scheduled, Carlson promised they will be posted on the county website and open to everyone. There will also be Spanish translation available. “It’s important to us that we have ways for the Spanish-speaking public to comment,” Carlson said. The selection came after months of review of proposals and bids by the Adams County Parks and Open Space Department. County Commissioner Erik Hansen sees opportunity to increase facilities within the park, such as entertainment venues. Plan continues on Page 3
