Broomfield shuts out rival to claim Front Range League crown

WESTMINSTER - e Class 5A No. 9 ranked Legacy girls soccer team came up short in its quest for the Front Range League South title ursday.
Top-ranked and undefeated Broom eld Eagles scored two goals in the rst half to beat league-rival Lightning 2-0 and win the FRL South title.
e two squads had to navigate through a Spring storm that brought freezing rain and 20 miles per hour wind that made the elements less than ideal.
“I’m proud of our team,” Legacy coach Heather Solar said. “ ey battled and you can’t ask for more than that.”
