Mayor Pro Tem David DeMott asked about the density of the new downtown and the di erent units that will be available.
“Success is all going to be about a mix so we have different options for di erent folks at di erent income and age brackets,” DeMott said.
Kimball said that the rst housing project in the area was a ordable housing.
e next two had 10% of units set aside for a ordable housing. She said the site has a wide variety of di erent kinds of units.
City Councilor Sarah Nurmela asked for even more attainable housing as well.
“We want to make sure we have a diverse o ering of residential units,” Burke said.
He also said that it’s important to have enough people in the area to support the small retail.
Mayor Nancy McNally asked if the city is talking with Je erson County regarding a library in the area and Burke said they are looking to collaborate with the county, but no answers have been given yet.
“We would love it,” he said.
