It was a portion of the land which Front Range Community College purchased in 1974 for the Westminster campus. ey asked if the city would help in the purchase by acquiring the excess land which the college did not need or want. e joint library and the initial open space land purchase are great examples of how the two entities have cooperated over the years.

Front Range is a valuable asset to the community and has the potential to play a more active role in the Westminster community.

In a surprising announcement (at least to me), the race among candidates for the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District Board of Directors has narrowed from four down to three. Current Chairperson Jenn Flaum has dropped out of the race.

To my knowledge, her reason to exit the campaign is not known.
