Wheat Ridge Ridgefest connects community, local businesses

Executive producer of the theater company Maru Garcia was one of the many local business people at the fest. She o ered water bottles and other swag emblazoned with the company’s logo.
Wheat Ridge eatre Company’s next show is “Sherlock Holmes: the Case of Alice Faulkner,” which runs from July 28 to Aug. 13. For more information, check out Wheat Rdige eatre Company’s
Piper said that the fest included several breweries from Wheat Ridge, food trucks, music, a cornhole tournament and more.
Piper said that Ridgefest is made possible by a combination of fundraising and funding from the city.
“We get a huge contribution from the city leaders every year,” she said. “So, we’re really grateful for that partnership. And then the rest is from private donations and sponsorships.”
Ridgefest 2023 was sponsored by FirstBank, according to Piper. Localworks has several other events planned for the summer. Check out the Localworks webpage for more information.
