Woman searches for justice after her mother was killed in Lakewood hit and run

Angela Selvage was walking in Lakewood the night of May 28 when she was hit by a vehicle and left for dead.
“A second car came through and hit her,” said Angela’s daughter, Samantha Selvage. “ ey stopped and called for help. My mom died at the hospital not long after that.”
According to the Lakewood Police notice about the event, Angela was walking down West 6th Street Frontage Road and was hit near Jay Street. Police are still looking for information about the incident, and so is Samantha.
Samantha, a resident of Arizona, has made Lakewood her temporary home as she works to nd out who hit her mother.
“It’s falling on my shoulders to try to bring my mom justice and my family closure. And it’s ne. I accept that responsibility. But it’s really hard,” she said.
She is struggling to pay out of pocket for her stay and for laying her mother to rest. Samantha’s family is helping, however, the costs are rising. ey started a crowdfund to help with the costs. You can nd more information on the crowdfund at https://gofund.me/fd60c7a9.
Samantha wants people to know that her mother was a good person who made an impression everywhere she went. As she canvasses
