Let’s talk politics
U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen recently announced the list of projects that she submitted to the U.S. Congress for approval, totaling $35 million in projects. Among them were two programs for the Je co region. One project requested $2 million for the City of Wheat Ridge. If approved, the money would go to low-income property owners in the form of grants to help rehab and improve those properties. e goal is to keep those properties open and acces- sible to low-income renters. e second request was on behalf of the Je erson County Sheri ’s Department. e department needs $1.5 million for necessary radio upgrades to aid in better communication among people in the department.
