A high-fi ve is always in order for team members headed to compete in the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival.

were just part of the fun as eager festival-goers sampled food truck fare while being treated to performances of music and dance.

Several teams raced sleek Dragon Boats across Sloan’s Lake for the first time since 2019 after cancellations for toxic algae bloom and COVID-19 as part of the premier celebration of Colorado’s Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.

Longest line of the day award would have been awarded to the Hot Bamboo Bao truck. This vantage point shows only a small section of hungry festival attendees in a line stretching as far as the eye could see.
