Big Talent! Small Venues! Great Setting!
RTD is offering zero fares across its transit system to improve air quality and reduce traffic during Denver’s high ozone season. The “Zero Fare for Better Air” initiative will also be a good way for locals to save money and gas, RTD board member Marjorie Sloan said at a July 12 Golden City Council meeting. Sloan, who represents the Golden, Wheat Ridge and Lakewood areas on the RTD board, hoped locals will take advantage of the zero-fare month. She said it’ll be ideal for commuting to and from work, going out with friends, traveling for date night and more; and several communities around Denver will be hosting events to promote it. RTD’s long-term goal is to increase ridership and usage across its system, and hosting a zero-fare month is a great way to incentivize people to use RTD, she said. “Zero Fare for Better Air” was made possible by the Colorado Senate Bill 22-180, in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office, according to the RTD website.
