SCL Health has submitted a proposal to the City of Lone Tree to rezone and buy land in the Park Meadows area for a new medical campus. The Broomfield-based healthcare company is interested in potentially building a medical campus on property south of C-470 and west of Yosemite Street, along Park Meadows Drive, according to a news release from the city. SCL Health is being represented by Davis Partnership Architects. The standing name for the project is the SCL Health South Parkway Campus. The property is currently zoned commercial. The applicant wishes to rezone the land for planned development with helicopter service and medical offices. SCL Health submitted a rezoning application for the property June 25. It may take another couple of weeks before the city begins the public review process, Lone Tree Community Development Director Kelly First wrote in an email Aug. 2. According to the rezoning application submitted to the city, SCL Health initially proposed to build a six-story, 440,000-square-foot hospital with about 200 beds.
