tudents at Redstone Elementary School in Highlands Ranch took part in the Great Kindness Challenge, a national call for compassion, the week of Jan. 27. Each day, the school hosted spirit days to highlight the acts of generosity completed by their students. The challenge, organized by a nonprofit founded in California, comes with a checklist of acts of kindness. The list includes things like picking up trash, complimenting someone and hugging a friend. “Our students have been challenged to do acts of kindness throughout the week,” according to a statement from the school.
