NOTICE OF APPLICATION IN THE COLORADO P.U.C. NO. – 7 GAS TARIFF OF ATMOS ENERGY CORPORATION 1555 BLAKE STREET, SUITE 400, DENVER, COLORADO 80202
You are hereby notified that Atmos Energy Corporation (“Atmos Energy” or the “Company”) has filed with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (“Commission”), in compliance with the Public Utilities Law, an advice letter and associated revised tariff sheets to modify the Company’s Gas Demand-Side Management Cost Adjustment (“G-DSMCA”) rate and G-DSMCA Factors to be effective on July 1, 2021. The proposed G-DSMCA modification will allow Atmos Energy to continue recovering prudently incurred costs for the gas demand-side management (“DSM”) programs based on the Company’s DSM achievements during the 2021 program year. The proposed filing revises the Company’s existing natural gas rates in its tariff, Colorado P.U.C. No 7- Gas, to reflect modifications to the G-DSMCA Factor, the volumetric DSMCA and the total volumetric rate for class, resulting in increase to the G-DSMCA surcharge for Residential customers and an increase for Small Commercial and Commercial customers. The present and proposed monthly G-DSMCA rates are as follows:
Residential Base Rate
Residential Volumetric Rate/ccf
Commercial Base Rate
Commercial Volumetric Rate/ccf
Present G-DSMCA rate
$0.20
$0.00315
$0.74
$0.00289
Proposed G-DSMCA rate
$0.21
$0.00345
$0.81
$0.00316
The proposed and present rates and tariffs are available for examination at the business office of Atmos Energy Corporation located at 1555 Blake Street, Suite 400, Denver, Colorado, or at the Public Utilities Commission at 1560 Broadway, Suite 250, Denver, Colorado, 80202. Customers who have questions may call the Company at 1-888-286-6700 or email the question to Jennifer.altieri@atmosenergy.com.
Anyone who desires may file written comments or objections with the Commission. The filing of a written objection by itself will not allow you to participate as a party in any proceeding on the proposed action. If you wish to participate as a party in this matter, you must file written intervention documents in accord with Rule 1401 of the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure and of any applicable Commission order.
The Commission may hold a public hearing in addition to an evidentiary hearing on the proposed revisions and if such a hearing is held members of the public may attend and make statements even if they did not file comments, objections, or an intervention. If the filing is uncontested or unopposed, the Commission may determine the matter without a hearing and without further notice.
