A number of new activities including a dunk tank, ice vendor and free hot dogs took over the east playground at Englewood’s Bishop Elementary School during the Spring Fling on May 21.

“The Spring Fling is an end-ofthe-year carnival, and this year it is a farewell Spring Fling held by this building because it will be torn down so a new school can be built on the site,” Principal Shanna Martin said. “Parents and alumni have been invited to join us. I am very pleased that

so many people came today and joined our celebration.” Several picnic tables were set up on the grounds so those attending the event could sit down and enjoy a free hot dog, chips and water. SEE FLING, P18
