Businesses roll out red carpet on last Friday of the month BY TOM MUNDS TMUNDS@COLORADOCOMMUNITYMEDIA.COM

Juan Suarez hadn’t heard about Final Friday in Englewood until a friend told him about it. So he decided to check out the activities on the last Friday of March. And he was glad he did. “I think it is a great idea and I plan to check out what is going on,” said Suarez, a Sheridan resident who was visiting Positive Vibes, a smoke and gifts shop at 3398 S. Broadway. “This is my first time in this business and I really like what they are doing here. I plan to tell my friends so they can come down and check things out next month.” He was one of about 30 people at Positive Vibes on March 31, where Harold for Hire was preparing food from his traveling pop-up kitchen and a disc jockey was playing music. Crowds of people milled up and down South Broadway in Englewood, visiting other businesses, as part of the Broadway SEE FRIDAY, P20

Dinkc Galicia creates original artwork on the deck of a skateboard during the March 31 Final Friday activities at McGinnis and Sons Skateboards in Englewood. A number of businesses in Englewood are holding special Final Friday activities on the last Friday of each month. Typically, the activities will include special prices on products and, often music, free food and artists like Galicia at work. TOM MUNDS
