Studio 420, a marijuana consumption establishment at 3995 S. Broadway, was notified by letter on Dec. 9 that the firm would face the revocation of its business license if it did not halt the consumption portion of its business within 14 days. But the attorney for the business has filed a notice to appeal the city order, placing the matter on hold. The notification came as a ceaseand-desist order from Tim Fiene, acting as Englewood special counsel dealing with the issue of Studio 420 operating a marijuana consumption club. In the letter, Studio 420 was ordered to stop allowing the smoking or consumption of marijuana or marijuana products at its location within 14 days. The letter said that the 2015 business license application stated the business would be selling tobacco products and other items, but the company has since advertised it is a social or membership club providing a place for the use and consumption of marijuana.
