COVID-19 won’t stop Santa Claus from making his yearly trip tomorrow night to deliver presents around the world. According to local and national health officials, Santa is immune

from COVID-19. Plus, he, Mrs. Claus, their workers and reindeer have been in isolation all year at the North Pole, so they have remained healthy and hard at work. Christmas trains were canceled. “I’m missing it like crazy,” she said. Plans to develop Digger Field and the bus barn are moving forward. The community will have the opportunity to comment on initial concepts for developing the land by the end of January now that the Clear Creek school board has sold the two properties to Four Points Development for $2.525 million. Stephanie Copeland, a partner in the firm, promised in-person meetings if those are allowed, and if not, virtual meetings in which community members will be able to provide input. Four Points plans to anchor the two properties with multifamily housing, with plans to tie into the Clear Creek rec center, Copeland explained at the Dec. 15 school board meeting. School board members said they were pleased that Four Points officials understood the community’s connection to the properties and planned to connect with the community to gain its input. Board President Mitch Houston said Four Points has agreed to four conditions in the contract: • Four housing units will be available for school district employees SEE DIGGER FIELD, P17
