Flower Power BY CORINNE WESTEMAN CWESTEMAN@COLORADOCOMMUNITYMEDIA.COM
It’s wildflower season in Clear Creek County! While wildflowers at lower elevations have already made their debut this summer, those at sub-alpine and alpine levels are starting to bud and bloom. The blooms near the Clear Creek side of the Eisenhower Tunnel and along nearby Loveland Pass were just starting to paint the landscapes with their bright colors on June 30. Wildflowers around Clear Creek County will likely be at their peak in terms of color and number in mid- to late-July.
