School officials, business leaders, the mayor, the police chief and other familiar faces in Littleton are reflecting on their 2023 accomplishments as they set goals for the year ahead. Some are proud of the money they raised to help others. Some look to new initiatives they launched. Others are excited about the relationships they began. The Littleton Independent asked them to share what’s on their minds for 2024.

Education

Todd Lambert, who started his role as the superintendent of Littleton Public Schools in July, said he is proud of the relationships he has established in the district so far. “I have enjoyed getting into all of the schools multiple times, as well as participating in many community events, where I get to see just how much this school community loves and supports our schools,” Lambert said. “I believe it is important for our families and taxpayers to see their superintendent actively involved in the work.”

He said he is grateful for the school board, teachers and administrators who have helped the district accomplish many goals this year. He said the district prioritized safety and renewed efforts to strengthen its Professional Learning Communities program, which offers teachers time to collaborate on strategies and goals for students.

In 2024, he said he wants the district to continue growing through instructional practices, recruiting and hiring great teachers and staff, providing multiple academic and career pathways and managing the district in a fiscally responsible manner.
