Cheryl Wink has submitted her resignation from the Englewood City Council. Her resignation letter was released by the city on the

Wink, who was elected to an atlarge seat in a three-way race in 2017 and was reelected without opposition in 2021, would have served until 2025 if she had not resigned nor been recalled.

Wink was facing recall for her support of a now-shelved density plan that could have allowed multifamily e recall drive against Wink gained steam after a June 2 interview with the Englewood Herald in which she referred to dissatis ed constituents as “these little citizens” who were “angry about everything.”

Since the beginning of 2022, Wink had racked up more instances of not being present at city hall than all her colleagues combined.
