In the election that ends Nov. 2, Littleton voters will select a mayor and council members and fill seats on the school board. Ballots go into the mail starting Oct. 8. For the first time, voters will directly choose their mayor, a position previously filled by council vote. Three candidates are in the race. There are also contests to fill three other council posts. And voters will choose three members of the Littleton school board from among five candidates on the ballot. The top three vote-getters will win the election. The Littleton Independent sent questions to each candidate to help voters learn more about them. We asked why they’re running, what qualifies them for office, and what their priorities would be if elected. Turn to Pages 6-9 for our candidate Q&As. Litteton voters also will decide Ballot Issue 3A, a city tax increase proposal. Watch for more coverage in coming weeks.
