Nice ice, Santa! Ten festive ice sculptures are placed throughout downtown Evergreen, Bergen Park and El Rancho, courtesy of the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber President Nancy Judge said response to last year’s sculptures was so positive, the chamber decided to do it again. Ice sculptor Jess Parrish from Cool Hand Ice Carving returned to create the Grinch, the Abominable Snowman, a bear, a house, an elf and more. The largest ice sculpture weights 3,600 pounds and is outside Bryan Caldwell’s American Family Insurance Agency. The other sculptures weigh 1,200 pounds each.

Holiday Season in Conifer! The holiday season always seems to come and go so quickly; it would be nice to be able to slow down time a little and let the good times linger just a bit… Just long enough to breath in the smells of fresh evergreens, fresh baked cookies, and my personal favorite, a cozy fire crackling in the fireplace. Or maybe just long enough to soak up the twinkling lights and the sounds of the holidays. And long enough to let the sight of all the sparkling eyes and happy faces soaking in the magic of the season. We have had a busy season here at the Chamber, and we are extra thankful for the community of Conifer this time of year, especially this year. Our businesses help to make the season cheery by stocking their shelves so you can shop local. By stocking the food pantry shelves, donating toys and gifts to those less fortunate. In November, we had Small Business Saturday, even though this year we are campaigning for the Small Business Season, instead of just one day! We spent the day shopping locally and stopping by several businesses in the area. Hundreds lined the parade route to kick-off the 38th Annual Christmas Parade presented by RE/MAX Alliance and the start of the season. Neighbors and businesses around the area are helping to Light Up Conifer with twinkling lights and festive decorations.
