With the election over, Ray finished out his time as a board member at the Nov. 14 meeting, which included a reception for outgoing board members Ray and Jason Page. Superintendent Erin Kane said the district is incredibly grateful for Ray’s years of service, adding that he will always be part of the DCSD family. “I have seen firsthand your passion, dedication and love for Douglas County School District,” Kane said. “Serving as a volunteer for eight years and giving countless hours to our students, staff and families is incredible. Meek said Ray always centwered students in his decisions and he would leave an enduring legacy for that. “Your fingerprints are going to be on this district for generations,” Meek said. “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
