Frederick’s Bryce Conover, Jacoby Conway and Luke Justice were first-team, all-Longs Peak League selections in voting done by the league coaches this season. Matias Aldana and Alex Sturn were honorable-mention choices. Their coach, Jeff Conway, was the league’s coach of the year.
Wrestling
Fort Lupton’s D’mitri GarzaAlarcon earned first-team, all-state honors in voting by CHSAANow.com, MaxPreps and ColoradoPreps.com. Alarcon won his second straight wrestling title this winter.
In girls wrestling, the Bluedevils’ Rylee Balcazar (110 pounds) was a first-team, all-state choice, while her teammate, Anastyn Livesay (161 pounds) was a second-team selection.
Girls softball
The deadline to join the Fort Lupton Recreation Center’s fastpitch girls softball leagues (9- to 14-year-olds) is Saturday, March 26, at a cost of $80.
Games begin the week of May 1 at Pearson Park, U.S. Highway 85 and state Highway 52, and in surrounding communities.

Frederick Feeder 5K
Frederick High School’s student council is hosting the fi rst Frederick Feeder 5K and 400-meter fun run Saturday, April 16. Proceeds will help supportschool activities and this year’s staff scholarship.
The start and fi nish line is at FHS. The 5K race starts at 9 a.m., and the fun run starts at 10 a.m. The fee is $25 for students and staff of the school and $35 for friends and parents. Early registration closes April 1.

The Annual Meeting of Members of UNITED POWER, INC. will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the Waymire Dome at the Riverdale Regional Park, located at 9755 Henderson Road in Brighton, Colorado. Members can attend in-person or via livestream. The registration portal and instructions for participating in the meeting virtually can be found on the cooperative’s website at www.unitedpower.com.
The meeting will be for the purposes of electing directors, considering and approving reports for the prior fiscal year, and transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
This year there are elections in the following districts: East, South, and West for three-year terms. The candidates nominated by petition are Steven “Steve” Douglas, Naptali A. Lucks, and Elizabeth “Beth” A. Martin in the East District; Keith Alquist in the South District; and Ursula J. Morgan in the West District.
