The Clear Creek School District’s bus barn will be moved to the track south of Building 103 despite county and Idaho Springs officials hoping it could be used for affordable housing. The school board on Dec. 14 unanimously decided to move the bus barn, known as the Transportation and Maintenance Facility, to that location. Board members said they hoped another district property might be conducive for housing, so they could partner with Idaho Springs and the county. District staff recommended that the facility be moved to Building 103, which is the former middle school, over the other option, which was a property near Clear Creek High School that the district would need to purchase. The district is poised to complete the sale with Four Points Funding in mid-February for the former football field and bus barn property in Idaho Springs. The district has a lease-back clause in the contract for 21 months for the bus barn. Realisti-
