without their parental consent.”

The threat came just days after two minors — a Littleton High School student and a homeschooled student — filmed themselves lying their way into getting approved for a COVID vaccine at a clinic at Heritage High School.

The videos went viral on a far-right Twitter account and the students’ parents accused Ewert and the district of pushing vaccines on minors without parental consent, though neither minor went through with vaccination.

Clayton also made death threats to LPS board members, according to board President Robert Reichardt.

Clayton’s mother told investigators that her son holds very conservative and anti-vaccine political views and follows the far-right conspiracy group Q-Anon, according to a police report.

The report says Clayton first denied to officers that he knew anything about the call, but after being told that police would seek a warrant for his phone, he admitted to leaving the threatening voicemail “just to vent.”

Clayton will also face 364 days of supervised probation so long as he has no further law violations, obeys his protection order, undergoes a mental health evaluation and treatment and does not possess firearms.

His next review hearing is set for September 1 at 9:30 a.m. with his final hearing set for May 4, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.

PUBLIC NOTICE

CITY OF COMMERCE CITY, CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING ON THE DESIGNATION OF THE SAND CREEK BUSINESS AREA URBAN RENEWAL AREA, AND THE ADOPTION OF THE SAND CREEK BUSINESS AREA URBAN RENEWAL PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the requirements of the Urban Renewal Law, Section 31-25-101, et seq., C.R.S., that the City Council of the City of Commerce City, Colorado will hold a public hearing commencing at 6 p.m., Monday, July 11 at the Commerce City Civic Center, 7887 E. 60th Avenue Commerce City, Colorado 80022 on the following matters:

1. Whether the area under consideration for designation as the Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Area is a blighted area within the meaning of the Urban Renewal Law; and

2. Whether the proposed Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Plan for the Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Area shall be approved.

The Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Area is generally bounded by 48th Avenue and Forest Street and is legally described below. The purpose of the proposed Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Plan is to eliminate and prevent the spread of blight in the subject area while implementing the goals and objectives of the City Comprehensive Plan. The principal goals of the Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Plan are to help provide important services to the subject area, attract private investment, utilize underdeveloped land, and leverage public investment and funding mechanisms to provide necessary public infrastructure to serve the subject area, all for the purpose of remedying and preventing blight. The proposed Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Plan is also intended to promote uses for the primary benefit of the City of Commerce City and community at-large and encourage investment and reinvestment in the subject area. These goals will be accomplished by affording maximum opportunity for the development and redevelopment of the subject area by private enterprise.

All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing. A copy of the Sand Creek Business Area Conditions Study and the proposed Sand Creek Business Area Urban Renewal Plan are available for review upon request by contacting Jenna Lowery, Executive Management Analyst for Commerce City, at jlowery@c3gov.com or (720) 402-8856.
