Six Evergreen businesses have been burglarized between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Parkside Café and Evergreen Cleaners in Bergen Park, along with Morning Star Jewelers in the Evergreen Safeway shopping center were burglarized on Halloween, while Coal Mine Dragon, Bistro Del Lago and Everbean, all in the Lakepoint Center on Upper Bear Creek Road, were burglarized on Nov. 2. Jacki Kelley, a spokeswoman for the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office, said on Nov. 4 that investigators are not positive that all six are connected, but the method of entry is the same on all but the jewelry store burglary. Glass was broken to gain entry to the five businesses, and the perpetrators were targeting cash registers. At the jewelry store, the door was pried open, several glass jewelry cases were broken and large amounts of jewelry was stolen. Morning Star had cameras, and the Sheriff’s Office has photos of the person who entered the store, Kelley said. The photos show that the person is totally covered except for a backpack and shoes, and she hopes
