The Den is ready for Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen students and the community to use. The Den is the name for the public charter school’s new 28,000-squarefoot building that houses a gymnasium, classrooms for music and Spanish classes, storage and community meeting space. It took a year to construct the building on the southwest portion of the property on Royale Elk Way where the school’s playground had been. The playground is now next to the athletic field. Principal Ann Hudson is thrilled the building is complete and will be available for students in kindergarten through eighth grade to have nice athletic facilities. She explained that students helped name it The Den since the school is the home of the Grizzlies.
The big drop from 85 feet elicited gasps from the crowd.
