Three finalists have been selected for Centennial’s vacant city manager position. Two of the finalists are working in administrative positions for cities in Colorado, while the third is a former Centennial official now working in Texas. The post has been open since the resignation of John Danielson on Oct. 12. Deputy City Manager Elisha Thomas has stepped in to fill the role in the interim. Here’s a look at the three finalists: • Jeff Dolan is the director of employee relations and the interim deputy city manager for the City of Lakewood. His previous positions include vice president of human resources for ProBuild Holdings, executive director of human resources with the city and county of Denver, and human resources director for the City of Davenport, Iowa. • Wayne Reed is the assistant city manager for Georgetown, a city of 60,000 in Texas. Previously, Reed worked for Centennial as the director of community development, from 2006-12, and as the deputy city manager, from 2012-16. • Matthew Sturgeon is the city manager in Rifle, a city of 9,500 just west of Glenwood Springs. Previously, Sturgeon
