Mary Ann (Marty) Wells
June 27, 1932 – April 29, 2021

Mary Ann – Age 88 died on April 29, 2021 in the comfort of her home. Mary Ann was born June 27, 1932 in Stetsonville, WI to the late George and Ella (Waldhart) Baumer.
She attended the local elementary school and graduated in 1950 from Medford High School. She continued her education at Stevens Point Teacher’s College (now University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point) and graduated in 1954. She then taught school for several years in Green Bay, WI. A change of careers took her to Aeronautical School in Kansas City. She was hired by United Airlines and sent to the Cleveland O ce. She also worked for Northwest Orient and TWA Airlines in Cleveland, Denver, and Albuquerque.
On June 1, 1963 she married Frontier Airlines pilot, Kenneth N. Wells. ey made their home in Aurora, CO and raised their 2 boys there until 1979. ey then moved east of Brighton, CO at Van Aire Skyport. Marty lled her days caring for her home and family. She treasured her church family and, above all, loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a perennial volunteer for years on various school district committees, worked for her church and helped at the Animal Shelter as well as the Brighton Senior Center. She cared for the neighbor’s animals while they vacationed. e Wells’ home had an “open door” policy, and everyone was warmly welcomed with food or co ee, goodies, and a bed, if necessary. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth: her brother, Leslie Baumer of Grand Haven, MI; her brother Darrell Baumer and his wife Jan of Berthoud, CO.
She is survived by her brother Richard (Pat) Baumer of Owatonna, MN; her son Randy (Ronda) Wells of Greeley, CO; and her son Kyle (Tressa) of ornton, CO. Her grandsons, Andrew and Alexander Wells of Greeley, CO and her sister-in-law’s Charlene (Ian) Martindale of Boise, ID and Phyllis Baumer of Grand Haven, MI.
Services will be held on June 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church of Brighton, 510 S 27th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601, with Pastor Ron Martin o ciating.
