Search for Missing 5-Year-Old Continues Up North in River

Sheriff’s personnel state they will search until all reasonable possibilities of finding Doan have been exhausted

PASO ROBLES — It has been nearly one full month since the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department began searching for missing 5-year-old Kyle Doan Doan went missing on Monday, Jan. 9, after being swept away by floodwaters near San Miguel. It was reported by Cal Fire that morning that the area the car he inhabited was trying to cross was impacted by a downed tree. A neighbor tried to help rescue those inside, and while Kyle’s mother was pulled to safety, he was unable to be rescued.

Lisa Hopkins Named as Next Principal

23 years as an educator in Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES — Trinity Lutheran Church and School have announced the selection of Lisa Hopkins to serve as its next principal.

“After a nationwide search, the selection committee unanimously selected Lisa as the best candidate,” said Mark Schudde, pastor of Trinity. Hopkins will take up the duties as principal this June.
