NORTH COUNTY — A cold storm front brought predictions of snow across San Luis Obispo County last week. While some remained skepti- cal, parts of North County were covered in a blanket of pure white snow.

San Luis Obispo meteorologist John Lindsey had predicted scattered rains showers in the forecast starting on Wednesday, Feb. 22, with snow levels “dropping to between 1,250 and 1,750 feet in the inland areas and 2,000 feet in the coastal regions.”

Templeton, and the surrounding hills and mountains. This snowfall amounted to only about an inch that melted off quickly. However, come Saturday morning, residents were surprised with much more than just a dusting. Local photographer and Carrisa Plains resident Brittany App captured her surrounding Temblor Mountain Range that resembled the

High Sierras.

Lower elevations of North County from Paso Robles to Atascadero experienced nearly an inch of snow on the ground Saturday morning. But more residents in Parkfield were stuck at home, nearly packed in with snow.
