It's a New Year!

My favorite holiday tradition is when my family and friends sit around the table and we share Oplatke (thin wafers). It's a sentiment from my mom's Polish side of the family. Each person starts with their own wafer, and then taking turns, we pass our wafers around the table so that everyone breaks off a piece of each other's. Then we join all our collected pieces together with honey and we eat it together while we offer forgiveness, love and joy for the future. And every year starts anew. It's quite fun—and quite moving. I'm so excited for 2022 ... I feel hopeful for good things—forgiveness, love and joy. Happy New Year!
