PRESENTATION Capital Improvement Projects Updates The Director of Public Works provided an update regarding several capital improvement projects. Including the following: Central Drainage Project Update provided by Dewberry & Associates during August regular meeting. The project is nearing the 100% design phase and is set to begin in late fall/early winter.

Town Pier

Town Pier Update Gates were added on August 30 to be used for pier closure during storms and high winds. The Public Works staff is developing a 5-year maintenance plan for piling/deck/handrail replacement, and the town is also pursuing grant funding. Bike/Golf Cart Path Updates Short Term Solution includes millings and roller rental for an estimated cost of $28,000 for the section from 7th to 9th Street. Long Term Solution includes an estimated cost of $225,000 for the full path.
