Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised ebook library TRIEDand TRUSTED in4000+ SCHOOLS
Since DfE validation in June 2021, the Little Wandle programme has been adopted by thousands of UK primary schools who are using it to deliver effective phonics. Here's what some of them had to say:
● Supports front of class teacher modelling and shared reading when used on interactive whiteboards
● Perfect for home reading so children can practise reading decodable books at the right level without the need to share books amongst pupils
For reading in school and at home
“The children love the Little Wandle mnemonics and illustrations and we have seen such fantastic results in Reception since our Little Wandle launch in September 2021. Our results improved by 40% in the first half term alone!”
● Provides parents with videos that model how to say phonemes correctly, hints and tips for supporting children with their reading at home and more information about Big Cat
● New books are added throughout the year, as they become available, keeping the reading library engaging and exciting

● Easy to access, straightforward to set up
“Little Wandle has dramatically enhanced our phonics provision and it is no doubt that this is due to the high quality of both the SSP and the Big Cat resources. Pupils absolutely can’t wait to open their new books and review phoneme cards and teachers find the high-quality resources have had a significantly positive impact on pupil progress.”

“Teachers and pupils are really enjoying the decodable books that are used for reading practice. The training videos online have been very useful and the guidance on the last page of each book is great to refer to before and during the reads. The books provide a good balance of fiction and non-fiction as well as a variety of genres to cater for many interests. When matched to the abilities within the group, pupils are able to decode and are continually becoming more confident in their own segmenting, blending and reading.”

“We couldn’t have done as well without the Little Wandle training and the resources. Having all the books makes teaching our reading so much easier. Here is a quote from our recent Brampton Ofsted – November 2021: ‘All staff have received the training they need to teach children to read. They deliver phonics teaching well. Children learn to read as soon as they start school in the Reception. They quickly develop the phonic knowledge they need to tackle new and unfamiliar words. Pupils take home appropriate books that they can read. These books match the sounds pupils know.’”
Useful guidance and support is included in every book
