Using a thesaurus (2) A thesaurus is similar to a dictionary. We can use it to find the best word for a sentence. All words have a slightly different meaning, so when we choose a word from a thesaurus we must choose carefully. fresh: crisp, new, natural, green, original, different I put on a fresh T-shirt. I put on a new T-shirt. It was a lovely fresh day. It was a lovely crisp day.
