Future Development Sites
Lots 2 & 6
Lot 2 comprises a 2,791m² site situated on Grant Road, providing a regular shaped parcel of land currently utilised for car parking and would be available for immediate development. Surrounding sites provide car dealerships and car hire facilities. Lot 2 is zoned Frankton Flats (B) Zone under the Queenstown Lake District Plan, and falls within Activity Area D. This underlying zoning permits industrial and yard based activities and ancillary offices to permitted activities.
Lot 6 comprises an overall site of 4,982m² inclusive of Building Ten, net land area across Lot 6 has been reduced to approximately 4,030m². The site is zoned Rural General Zone under the Queenstown Lakes District Council, however proposals are in place for retail development. The site is currently used for car parking to service other buildings in the wider Five Mile development so it provides a reasonable level of holding income. Future car parking will be developed as part of the Southern Precinct, which will allow for development of the subject site. The current development proposed is for a new retail outlet precinct.
