Celebrate fabulous foods, so famous, they have their own designated days! Each month, the library will highlight a nationally featured food with an in-house craft and treat to go.

WINTER STORYWALK®

Follow the numbered story pages around the plaza to find what happens when pets, Oscar and Daisy, go unleashed in the library’s latest Storywalk® adventure, Snow Friends by Margery Cuyler. Each story board has a different activity to encourage comprehension skills and enhance the fun! Optional activity sheets are available at the first sign by the fountain. Participants may turn in their completed activity sheet to the library circulation desk for a prize and a second treat will be awarded for finding the ten pictures of playful pups hiding around the plaza.

WINTER READING CLUB “Snow is Falling, Books are Calling!”

Drift on over to the library for the Winter Reading club beginning January 18. Sign up at the Youth Services or Circulation Desk and receive your punch card and book bag. The club runs for 12 weeks, ending Saturday, April 9.

Who may enter?

The program is open to children ages 0-12 years.

How does it work?

Starting on Tuesday, January 18, children can begin tracking the number of books they check out and receive a decal to add to the Snowtastic Reader Wall. • All materials must be checked out from the

Colleyville Public Library. • Books must be kept at least one night.

How do I count my reading?

Reading will be counted by book titles.

• 5 books = 1 decal to add to the Snowtastic Reader Wall and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing! • Children who check out books once a week for 10 out of the 12-week long session will receive a cool prize. • Keep track of check outs with the punch card attached to the bag received at registration. • Punches are received at the circulation counter.

February is Love Your Library Month and the library is open to receiving your heartfelt words! Whether it be the plethora of books, the friendly staff or the just-right nooks and cubbies, tell us what you love. Simply stop in, choose a paper heart on which to express yourself and make our display of hearts grow! Complimentary cookies, treats and prizes will be available for children and adults alike.
