Music Jam Session

Learn genealogical research techniques, resources, and tools while exploring your family history with others who share an interest in genealogy.

Join fellow musicians for an informal jam session focused on playing, improvising, and sharing music in a relaxed setting. Participants should bring their own instruments.

Texas Hold 'Em Tournament Test your skills and enjoy friendly competition in this Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament. Players of all experience levels are welcome to compete for prizes. A light lunch is included. Winners from the January through November 2026 tournaments will qualify for the 2026 Winners Tournament in December. Preregistration required. American Mah Jongg for Beginners Learn the fundamentals of American Mah Jongg, including game play, strategy, and proper etiquette, using the rules of the National Mah Jongg League. Participants will have time to practice and play with fellow beginners during each class. A 2026 Mah Jongg card is required and may be purchased at nationalmahjonggleague.org. Registration opens Aug. 24 for Colleyville residents and Sep. 1 for non-residents. Preregistration required. Yoga Flow

Chair Pilates Plus

Yoga Flow combines movement, breath work, and meditation to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation. Classes build progressively throughout the month, with the final class dedicated to a restorative Yin Yoga session focused on gentle, supported floor holds and relaxation. No experience is necessary, and modifications are provided for all levels. Participants may attend the Yin Yoga sessions on Sep. 29, Oct. 27, and Dec. 17 by paying the drop-in fee. No class Sep. 8, Sep. 10, Nov. 24, and Nov. 26.

Chair Pilates Plus focuses on improving posture, core strength, balance, mobility, and functional movement for adults 50 and older. Participants will use a chair for seated and standing support while building strength and flexibility in a welcoming environment. Suitable for all fitness levels. Please bring a set of 2- or 3-pound hand weights. No class Dec. 24.

Fit Strong for Active Seniors Fit Strong for Active Seniors is a higher-intensity fitness class that uses resistance training, body weight exercises, and balance work to build strength, mobility, and overall fitness. Students must be able to get down to and up from the floor without assistance. Please bring an exercise mat. No class Dec. 24. Senior Tai Chi Tai Chi combines gentle, flowing movements to improve balance, strength, flexibility, and overall wellness. This low-impact class begins with standing stretches and progresses through a series of choreographed movements that promote both physical and mental well-being. Participants who miss the first two days of a month must wait until the beginning of the next month to attend. No class Nov. 11. Qigong Qigong uses gentle, low-impact movements and simple postures to improve balance, flexibility, strength, and overall well-being. Participants will practice both stationary and flowing movements designed to promote energy and relaxation. Suitable for all fitness levels and may be performed seated or standing. Tai Chi 2.0 Tai Chi 2.0 is designed for students with a strong foundation in Yang-style Tai Chi and experience with the 24-form. Participants will refine the 24-form while learning the 32-form, with continued focus on balance, energy, and flow. Participants who miss the first two days of a month must wait until the beginning of the next month to attend. Participants need to have instructor approval to register. No class Nov. 11. Medicare Fraud Seminar Learn how to recognize common Medicare scams, protect personal information, and review Medicare statements for potential fraud. Participants will also learn how to report suspected fraud and access available resources for assistance. This seminar provides practical tools to help beneficiaries stay informed and protected. AARP Smart Driver Course Improve your driving skills and learn strategies to stay safe on the road. This course may qualify participants for an insurance discount, depending on their insurance carrier, but cannot be used for ticket dismissal. A valid driver's license is required. Maintaining Physical Independence and Combating Osteoporosis Learn how strength training can support mobility, balance, bone health, and independence as you age. This educational and interactive presentation will discuss the role of exercise in maintaining muscle mass, reducing fall risk, and helping prevent and manage osteoporosis. Interactive Dementia Training Experience a hands-on dementia simulation designed to provide insight into the daily challenges faced by individuals living with cognitive impairment and sensory changes. Metroport Meals on Wheels

Halloween Costume Party & Bingo

Enjoy coffee and treats in the morning, followed by lunch at noon and bingo. Participants age 90 and older dine free. Colleyville residents may register beginning the Monday of the week prior to each luncheon, while non-residents may register beginning the Monday of the luncheon week. Preregistration required.

Enjoy a festive afternoon featuring a Halloween costume contest, games, a light lunch, and bingo. Gather with friends, show off your costume, and compete for prizes. Register by Oct. 23.
