DID YOU KNOW? Model Shop Hours

The model shop, located in 20 Design, is open from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Monday/Wednesday/ Friday and 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday/Thursday. The shop is available for any student who needs access to power tools and equipment. A $25 fee per semester will be charged to each user, and training is available for those who aren’t familiar with the equipment.

Wireless System Upgrades

Thanks to a new Computation Advisory Committee (CAC) grant, the College of Design has significantly improved the wireless capacity in the building--we recently doubled the number of access points from 19 to 40! Access points are now located inside classrooms instead of the hallways, and new ones have been added in the faculty office hallways. We hope this will alleviate some of the traffic and congestion on the network, and you should see a real improvement in your connectivity. If you still experience trouble with “dead areas,” please contact Mike Miller.

Reminder: Peer Mentor Applications Due Friday, Feb. 10
