Geared toward parents, grandparents and students, topics Include:

• Promoting and protecting students’ religious freedoms at school

• Successfully addressing concerns with teachers

• Talking with school administrators about concerns

• Teaching children to be discerning about what they are learning

SATURDAY, November 13, 9 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.)

Geared toward educators and school leaders:

• Legal support for teaching about the Bible and Christianity, applying “separation of church and state”

• Illinois state academic standards related to the Bible and Christianity

• Practical ways to teach about the Bible and Christianity

• Students’ and Educators’ freedom of religious expression— what the U.S. Department of Education guidance says

• How to respond when pressured to teach or say things that violate your conscience and religious convictions
